Hello

I just joined a new company and got one of those: It plays MP3's, and has a built-in FM radio, camera, video, uses MMC for storage, syncronises with Outlook etc..

So you have put a 256mb MMC in and then have some of your MP3 music playing. it's great!

Steve.

sounds cool to me, tho i think that i will stick with my samsung V200 (matrix phone)

Dracoro 22 September 2004 10:17 PM

how much are the 256mb mmc cards?

got mine a couple of months ago - still getting used to all the features (inc. Bluetooth in the car); good headset for fm radio and mp3,

plus good lap timing feature when you're down the racetrack :)

http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/phi...tuff%20(5).jpg (alright, so I can't afford a proper set of race overalls).

and u can take photos of people, add them to the contacts list and their piccie comes up when they phone - which is good when u can't read the number display cos of its size.

It must just be me then that thinks anything other that a clamshell design phone looks completely and utterly poo.

Good features though, even if a Morrissons supermarket bag would compliment it's exterior finish.

Hmm, I'm of the reverse opinion - clamshell phones suck ! Anything that can break, will break. Less moving parts the better ;)

I've just got a 6230 too, took me all weekend to digest the instruction book, but now I'm quite happily Bluetoothing MP3s across to it and using the camera in a variety of illegal situations, its great.
Still waiting for the Nokia HS-4W bluetooth headset though ...

Break!!! Having owned all manner of flip designed phones since the very first to be introduced, I've not had one break on me.

Nor have I once inadvertently dialled a number with an exposed keypad, bet you can't say that. ;)

Freak 23 September 2004 12:49 PM

flip phones=female :p

I was assured i would have one of the first 6230s available on orange. That never materialised-it finally arrived this morning.Top phone

Hello

I like flip-phones as well. I always liked my "old" Motorola 3689 (the one that looked like a tortoise!).

The Nokia is good though, the problem is that nice big exposed screen gets scratched in my pocket. It doesn't randomly dial numbers as the keypad can be locked.

That's just it Steve. I have friends who's Nokia screens are barely legible and the keypads are full of crud.

Oh but locking the keypad to prevent wayward dialling, what a chore.

Freak- I agree, they have helped pull a good few females.

Far less of a chore than to open and close a flip top! :p :D :D

Oh dear, somebody who really wants a flip but is fighting.

I'm sure you can shake and tilt your wrist, which is all it takes. Oh and you're not even required to press a button to answer.

Are you? :D

cong 23 September 2004 01:32 PM

buy hey with a flip fone you can pretend your in star trek "beam me up scotty" or is that "il have a chicken fried rice and sweet and sour sauce scotty"

scoobyvirgin 23 September 2004 01:32 PM

Automatic keyguard. Never have to lock your keys again! :D
