Goldfish
 

Anyone ever kept goldfish, and how long did they live??

I originally had 4 but im now down to 1 which is now 15yrs old!!! :eek:

Kept in a fairly big tank with water pump and cleaned out regularly.

I have had quite a few goldfish in my pond. I used them originally to cycle new aquarium setups, then retire them to the pond but unfortunately they keep getting picked off by someone's cat, usually before they reach a year old. :(

I am currently working on a permanent solution to this predicament....

My mate has one in his community tank that has moved house with him several times and is over 10 years old I think!

15 years is a fairly good innings though!

Mine has spent its 15yrs in a 3ft x 1ft x 1ft tank. and is about 5inchs in length.
