Mazda 6 MPS
ok so this is a subaru forum but...
I had to PX my 99 Impreza Turbo last month for a sensible car Mazda 6 (with room for two kids, air-con blah blah blah). Now I hear that in September 2005 we'll see a 265 bhp AWD Mazda 6 best of both worlds, I hope so...I miss the Impreza. http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl...+6+Mps&spell=1 |
Having had some Mazda's I'd caution you. Honestly, running my WRX is far cheaper than my previous Xedos of a few years back, dealers are even more expensive than Subaru and parts miles more expensive. On the plus side I got 200,000 miles and it looked and felt like a 30,000 car.

You may be right as far as the MPS is concerned I don't know the list price yet. However when I sold the Imp I tried to guess how much I spent over nearly five years:
Cost: 22,000 Petrol: 8,500 Ins: 2,500 Service: 3,750 ..... lots of other expenses PX Value: 6,500 Net: 31,250 Can't see the mazda costing me that much over five years

I've had 3 mazdas for a total of 20 car years. They have all cost pennies to run with main dealer servicing on all of them.
Infact over the 20 years, there have been so few problems that I can remember them all: - MX5 12 years ownership: - New rear calipers @ 10 years New Clutch Slave cylinder New HT leads 2 new batteries 1 set new brake pads front and back + normal servicing 323 4 years: - Nothing, just normal servicing Xedos 9 4 years: - Door alarm switch replaced new battery 1 set new brake pads fromt and back + servicing I have had the STI for 18 months and already the list is longer than that!!! |
