Anders Frisk (referee) missile hits head !!!!!!!!!
Anders Frisk (the referee that sent Beckham off England v Argentina) has been bottled / coined when walking off at half time in the match against Roma V Dynamo Kiev
The match was abandoned at half time as the ref couldn't carry on. Kiev were winning 1 - 0 and Roma had a player sent off Just another feckin case of Italian football hooligans at work AGAIN. When is world football gonna wake up and smell the cappucino about this nation of football animals  Get away with blaming Liverpool fans for Heysel when it was THEM who started it with firing pistols and flares at the English Makes me so feckin mad  |
I quite agree - we were watching it here. Hubby & I both huge football fans but we both hate these "football hooligans". String them up by the b***ocks is what I say

Anders Frisk was not the referee that sent Beckham off.
I agree these people need a good kicking themselves to knock a bit of sense into them. |
Ooops sorry i stand corrected
|
Sky have identified a "thrower" on camera, not sure if its the same bloke but I bet hes in deep ****.
|
Tbh it was only a matter of time before it happened :( Although I wonder why AF did'nt think the 4th official was up to the job
I hope Kiev get given the win |

When you think what English football has been through  At the actual match we were told to remove everything - coins included that could be possibly be thrown. Then when in the ground, the sellers went round the local fans & sold bottles of water (and gave change in coinage) and the bottles had tops on, which they then proceeded to lob over us english fans. When one of our lot attempted to lob one (plastic) bottle back over the very high fence, an armed copper shoved an ak47 in his face and very roughly manhandled him out of the ground. Disgraceful "one for us and one for you rules" |
|
Shame it wasnt Mark Halsey he deserved that on Saturday !
Only a joke ! Not good do these people actually have anything to do with football or is football just an easy target again ? |

I cannot grasp the reasoning that the match was abandoned because the 4th official wasn't experienced enough to referee.
I thought to qualify for the 4th official you HAD to be a substitute ref |
Possibly the reason for abandoning the match was because despite the change of referee the abuse may still go on because of the home team losing!!!! One referee was already injured, would you take up the whistle with that kind of abuse going on with the potential for it to get worse should the team continue to lose and eventually lose the game?
I would have done the same, think of your own and the other officials safety and let the Associations deal with the club. I am not sure if I am right here, but I thought that the senior assistant referee would replace the referee with the fourth official dropping into the assistant role. At least, in the District I referee in that is the case.....I would have thought so with higher levels? I know that to be a fourth official you need to be fully qualified as a referee and at a high enough level/class. Also prepared to take the field, but what exact substitution I am unsure. |
the 4th offical is there to referee the gameif the original ref cannot continue ie injury. It was Frisks decision to abandon the match.... the wrong one IMHO. Had this happened to one of the players I very much doubt he would have abandoned the match. i ssupect the injury and his anger clouded his judgement.

"The referee decided to suspend the match first because he was seriously hurt, and second because he says that his safety -- and the safety of his assistants and the fourth man -- cannot be guaranteed," a UEFA official told reporters. |
Italy have the most violent & racist Ultras is European football & their clubs actually listen to them

LMW I totally agree, i could just imagine Frisk asking the 4th official if he wanted to take over and i can imagine the reply being "Fook that" That poor 4th official would have enough going through his mind let alone trying to correctly ref a match. I also have reffed quite a few games and its very difficult even when not thinking if a player or a fan is going lamp you one :( Roma banned from European competitions for 5 seasons end of ;) |
I have been to Germany and Spain for UEFA games and not a hint of trouble from either sets of fans. Don't think I would chance going to Turkey for a game though...
btw - nice try Buzzer :p ;) |

A wise decision IMHO. I would not put fellow colleagues at risk, let the authorities deal with it. Officials should not have to put up with that behaviour! I know I am biased because I am one, nevertheless, it is still unacceptable! Which is lame. If Anders had pulled a hamstring and couldn't continue do you feel he would have abandoned the game? No wonder what the ref said in the heat of the moment - and what an UEFA spokesman said said in a press conference conflicted somewhat. |
Yes i agree with what you are saying but what will be done now?
1. Can you see them being thrown out of the competition? 2. Will they re-play the game or at least 45mins behind closed doors? 3. Give Kiev the win? Fookin hope its 1. |
Jay,
Generally the 4th official would take over in times of injury such as you described, I am pretty sure no other 4th official would have been taking over in this case here. ;) It wouldn't surprise me at all for the media to have blown it all out of proportion either in order to make the referees look bad, after all, they do it all the time. :) Rest assured the 4th official allocated would never have been allowed to have stepped in the stadium as one, let alone on that field if he had not been experienced enough to take over. :) Chelle. |

The performance of the police & authorities before, and on the night made S Yorks Police look professional The 'segregation' put in place was laughable in the extreme No attempt was made to relieve the Italian fans of their weapons (they were captured on TV footage with flares, fireworks & starter pistols), before or after the incident occurred Certain groups of fans on both sides were intent on provoking a riot well before kick-off Fortunately the subsequent inquiry observed all these factors and apportioned blame fairly on all parties Oop sorry, in a dream world there. Obviously, the Scousers were to blame as they are scum, and the Italian fans and Belgian authorities were paragons of professionalism. It must be true, Rupert Murdoch's mouthpiece said so:mad: |
