Strange Outlook problem?

Tis my other halfs system. Its XP Pro and Office 2003. She has her own domain mail through 1&1 and V21 is the ISDN ISP. She has two almost identical email accounts using the same domain and server yet one of them is timing out trying to send messages. We've checked all the settings and it looks ok, spoken to 1&1 and they say everything is ok. The account is still receiving messages but timimng out awaiting a response from the sending server - which is the same as the 2nd email account.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Is this outlook you are using or outlook express.
May be an authentication problem ??
If using outlook, u normally set up 2 different profiles for different accounts.
You can choose which one u want to log into. If set up, this should have no probs at all.
Why dont u just set up the account that fails to work, on its own....see wot happens

just delete that account (in outlook) and create it, ive seen it on pcs b4, u look at the settings and it appears fine, yet in practice it dont work.

failing that, try specifiy the mail server by ip address as opposed to by name
