Im trying to line up my next set of mods ( turbo, breaks, injectors etc etc etc ) just ou of interest what turbo did you go for, would you recomend it, Im thinking a old sti 8 turbo and injectors think that would be good for 320 ish but I think high charge temps will kill the power

if it was easy It wouldn't be so much fun :D

Yep, great fun !!

I went for the tried and tested TD05 front entry from Andy Forrest. Tough turbo, mappers seem to have it sussed and will take me to a point where the MY02 bugeye gearbox lets go (currently 325BHP).

STi 8 has a VF35 afaik...... When Bob Rawle was mapping my car he mentioned that they could be a bit laggy. This fact might be a bit hazy as I was concentrating on a boost guage in the rain while the speedo was advancing rapidly in a clockwise direction :D

My advice would be to pick the mapper first and ask for advice :)

could you give me a rough guide to the cost of the turbo

I think a front mount is out the question this session for cash reasons as Im also getting a set of APs

whats your opinion of the RCM induction kits? I want to get the best I can with out going overboard

TD05's newly converted freshly refurbed are probably fetching £450 plus due to demand. A newish used one about £350. I went for it because of it's reputation and the fact that it's a tough critter. I use my car daily and what's more importantly I bought it on a 5 year loan so it has to last another 3 years at least :D

Andyf should be able give a firm price if he has any about :)

Sti top mounts come in at about £200 - £250

As for the RCM induction kit..... Bob Rawle reckons it's one of the best, it does flow a lot of air and the MAF has to be rescaled on fitting but meant to be the dogs for Bugeye's. Ninnybobs has got one.....where are you Martin ???

Olly at RCM is sorting out the fitting of my next set of mods..........not cheap but as in most things in life you get what you pay for. Bob Rawle Maps for them and is AFAIK the tops !

What we need is a bugeye slot on Scoobynet :D :D

Have you thougth about swapping yet, I went for a test drive in a evo 260 and was so unimpressed I would have bought it but it felt so flat :( 2 k off and free serviceing, I now know why ;)

The bugeye brakes are really pretty good.. I went for the Godspeed 335 conversion to slow the car when fully loaded.
