Lamco Gauge vibrating noise

Hi guys

I'm experiencing a vibration noise from my recently fitted lamco boost gauge (fitted to steering column) while under fast accelleration. It seems to be coming from the needle as it rises quickly on boost.

Anyone got any ideas on a fix. The noise is wrecking my head a bit so any advice would be great.

Cheers

Kieran

Not that this helps much but my Splitfire Boost gauge does the same thing. It's been in the car now for about 10 months and still working fine

Its vibrating because the air supply to it is not restricted enough. They are usually supplied with the restrictor in the T piece, perhaps yours hasnt been fitted.
In the event that you dont have the restrictor you just need to make your own by finding a pipe/fitting that fits inside the hose and slows down the supply of air. This causes a damping effect and so the needle doesnt chatter any more.

Use a tie wrap around a flexible section of the pipe and tighten it until the vibration stops.
