Panicware do one, both free & paid versions. As you know SP2 has one as standard.

I've used Google Toolbar for some time now - does a good job of blocking nasties and is useful to boot :)

XP SP2 one drives me up the wall - looks like something written in a back bedroom as well! Googlebar works for me ;)

Pop-Up Stopper is pretty good.

Mozilla Firefox, replaces IE6 and stops all the pops ups. Much better that IE

In the past, I've used Norton's Personal Firewall as a pop-up stopper, however, with Firefox, I've not needed to use it.

I'd definitely recommend Firefox, not only because of that specific feature, but because of the browser as a whole.

Another vote here for Google Toolbar. Effective and full of useful functions.
