HTF do I open the superdrive using a PC (bluetooth) keyboard?

I guess (hope) there is a key-combination.

You need to remap the keyboard keys F17 F18 F19 F20

to volume up
volume down
volume mute
eject

I think on some keyboards F12 does it anyway

Erm, I dont have F17,18,19 or 20, and have tried F12 :(

Try holding F12 for a second or so.

Still looking for the eject one I will let you know when I find something.

You can use Byte Controller to control iTunes volume and skip track etc for the time being though :)

Also you can use Ejector to give you a small eject icon in the menu bar so you can click the mouse at the top instead of dragging to trash.

PS buy an Apple Pro Keyboard next time ;) :p

Apple Help says Media Key or F12, but I obviously referring to an Apple keyboard.

I have the apple wireless keyboard and mouse, but couldn't get on with them so bought Logitech Cordless Bluetooth MX mouse and keyboard.

Ejecting once the drive is mounted isn't a problem, but I cannot mount the drive without opening the tray (or can I????)

I think ejector should solve that for you then :)

Will find out tonight (on a crappy pea sea at the mo)

I was going to say Apple-E but of course that only ejects a mounted disc... doh! F12 is the eject key on Mac laptops. If you go into System Preferences and turn on "Full Keyboard Access" then F12 might work as Eject in that custom keymap you installed.

Before trying anything else I held F12 down for a few seconds as suggested, and voila! it became an eject key :) (Bastid thing didn't do that last night :mad: ) Some of the multimedia keys also work (particularly volume control :))

Anyway, had a look at ucontrol, but nowt useful there. Also took a look at ejector, and looks like it only orks with mounted devices too.

Still, I'm happy using F12 :)
