STi 8 Speaker advice please.

I'm so fed up with the standard speakers in my STi 8 I want to upgrade them. I'm not really interested in putting amps or such like in but just want a better sound from the standard CD player.
If the CD player is crap would I be better upgrading that also?

Can anyone recommend speakers that will do the job ? Also do i need to replace the rear door ones aswell What size are the front and rears.

Any advice frrom anyone thats upgraded theirs ?

Thanks
Jas

i upgraded mine but i have now found the head unit is not up to supporting the speekers so it still sounds crap..

I put infinity 6500 in from and kenwoods in the back

Ive fitted alpine components in front(5.25")and rear(4"),Sounds ten times better but stereo could still do with upgrading

After hours of research I couldnt find and speakers that didn't need spacers for my 03sti.
I used a 12mm MDF spacer, don't go any thicker cos the cone will hit on the door card.
I fitted infinity 6000cs with about 5mm spare between the magnet and window, about as close as I wanted to get. The 6000cs's are very shallow (53mm) as well for a decent 6 1/2" speaker.

As for the rears, don't bother I didnt. Go for decent fronts.
