Ok after a bit of advice (as usual!) To cut a long story short my mum and stepdad have found themselves with 4 cars at the moment! They have a

1998 Terzo
2004 CLK
1998 Disco TDI
1998 Saxo

Now this is where it gets complicated! My step Dads work has changed a bit (construction industry) so the disco is no longer needed and the saxo is my twin younger brothers car who are off to Uni this september.

So the idea is to get rid of the disco and the saxo and get a car that can not only visit a few building sites/dodgy parts of london (i.e. not the scoob or clk) but can also be used by my 19 year old brothers (not too high insurance)

Criteria

New or nearly new (prob on pcp)
good residuals
Good image for work
lowish insurance group
Not too nickable
they would prefer golf size but I can always convince them otherwise!

I suppose usual suspects are

Golf tdi of some discription (and all its derivatives!)
Focus - My step Dad seems to hate them tho
