Fibreglass boot install

I currently have a Rockford Fosgate 15' sub in my 206's boot with the amp running it screwed to the box.

I want to do a fibreglass install which will eventually get sprayed body colour. I am thinking of moving the amp to elsewhere in the car (I have got to do this with my disc changer anyway) to keep it really simple especially as the boot it v small I don't want it loking cramped.

Has anyone got any tips/advice or one of these 'step by step' guides of how to do it? Or any pictures of any already done in any car?

Matt :)

Firstly... get loads of latex gloves... its a messy procedure.
Secondly... it makes the car smell for weeks afterwards.
Ues chicken wire to play around and make a shape you want.
I install all the time and use cfs... for the supplies, very helpful and very good quality.
Ive got some pics of a couple of installs Ive done to two 206s...pm me if you want the pics.

5lt of Polyester resin(they give you free catalyst)
300gsm chopped strand mat
600gsm chopped strand mat.
Have a work with the blokes about the size of the project and they will advise how much you need.
Also they sell cheap disposable 2" brushes.. buy a box of them to apply the resin.
you could do with a roller to remove air bubbles between the layers too.

Hope this helps.

Willy,

Right, have worked on it for a couple of hours a night after work for about a week - time and girlfriend ;) permitting

It's coming on OK but just need more time. Have a week off work soon so am gonna really try and finish the fibreglass part and the filler off and give it to a bodyshop for final smoothing and spraying.

Will try and get some pics up once my sisters come back from Greece with the digi camera

Thanks again for all your help

Matt :D
