Leaking headers again

Hi,

After having problems with my Gruppe-s v2 headers and leaking up-pipe joints I fitted 2 nice new gaskets and guess what, fixed for about 3 weeks and now the leak is back again. What can I do? I think the up-pipe is h+s 2 1/4 inch solid version.

Any help appreciated

George, I have the same combination as you and have been saying for months that I don't have a problem, that is until I fitted a 3" downpipe that has somehow disturbed the joint between the uppipe and turbo which now sounds like Ned Beatty on a canoe trip in the deep south :o

I am hoping that a new gasket will fix the problem but I'm worried that disturbing the bottom one will cause that to leak aswell.

Hi,

Was ok just after fitting, bought them brand new, then a week later they started to blow, fitted new gasket, ok for a while. Started blowing again so I put 2 new gaskets in there, now thats leaking too. I don't know if I should try it with 3 gaskets or not.

Hello,

Mine started off like a ticking noise similar to the injectors click noise then it gets worse and boost drops and it starts to sound like a tractor. Leaks are more noticed when driving somewhere with high walls either side of the road it sort of makes the leak noise stand out more.
