SVA questions - any1 know the specs of the scooby

Filling out an SVA form and one of the questions is what is the maximum engine power speed in rpm (maximum power produced by the engine - not maximum revs) and also the top maximum design road speed

The car is a 1995 jap spec wrx

does anyone know

also the number of driven wheels

To answer your second question first, I think it's fairly well established that the number of driven wheels on any turbocharged Impreza is '4' :)

Depending on exactly what spec your WRX is (check the model code on the VIN plate), design power output is probably either 260 or 275PS - but as to at what engine speed this power is produced I doubt anyone really knows without putting the car on a rolling road to find out. So, IMHO you may as well take an educated guess and put, say, 6000 rpm. Who's going to know otherwise?

Top design road speed for that car will be 112mph, since it must have a limiter fitted at that speed under Japanese law. I believe that this request on the SVA form is used to verify the speed rating of the tyres fitted, so although you may want to replace them anyway, there's no reason to compel yourself to do this before registration by stating a higher figure. (I'm not sure how Japanese and European tyre ratings compare - you may need a new set anyway that are 'E' marked).
