"Check Engine" Light (HELP PLEASE)
 

I was driving the the car today after picking it up from the mechanics, he had done a general service like plugs, oil filter and air filter and oil change!

He had told me that one of the hoses leading out of the airboxs had a crack in it which he had temporarily glued and had asked me to get it replaced and that was the reason why my car seemed to be cutting out at 5,000rpm i drove it home and all was well and then the "check engine" light came on and the car seemed to cut out and not accelarate after 4,000rpm.

Wat could be the problem?

The hose was temporarily fixed but when it was damaged first it would cut out at 5,000rpm after i drove it 5 mins later the "check engine" light came on and it cuts out at 4,000rpm. It does hit boost but then boost cuts out and it starts to jerk as it doesint wanna accelerate!

Any ideas???? could the hose have broken again and maybe the split hose is slightly larger and thats why its cutting out at 4000rpm and not 5000rpm

could it be anything else

damaged hose and sounds like a fubar MAF sensor.....
