Just the BBC being "PC" or justified??
Write up on BBC sport about Ingerland v Austria tomorrow.
AUSTRIA FACTS Population: 8.1m President: Heinz Fischer Age expectancy: Men - 75; women - 81 Famous dead Austrians: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sigmund Freud, Johann Strauss Alive: Arnold Schwarzenegger I can think of one very (in)famous Austrian not mentioned, is it something we should sweep under the carpet or is it just a little too "PC" |
apparently the germans have now forgiven mr H.
hopefully the rest of the world wont be so speedy to forget |
maybe the BBc thought is was to do with football and who the hell wants to link Hitler to entertainmnet????? hence mozart and arnie are in......evil dictators are out

I'd have a drink with Hitler. I don't agree with what he did but I'd enjoy the chance to gain some insight into the mind of a persuasive madman, to front up to the piercing stare and to make him justify his beliefs! In fact a beer with both him AND Freud would be even more interesting! :D

Perhaps it was just someone at the BBC being thick and not realising that Hitler was from Austria?
