Just the BBC being "PC" or justified??

Write up on BBC sport about Ingerland v Austria tomorrow.

AUSTRIA FACTS
Population: 8.1m
President: Heinz Fischer
Age expectancy: Men - 75; women - 81
Famous dead Austrians: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Sigmund Freud, Johann Strauss
Alive: Arnold Schwarzenegger

I can think of one very (in)famous Austrian not mentioned, is it something we should sweep under the carpet or is it just a little too "PC"

I'd have a drink with Hitler. I don't agree with what he did but I'd enjoy the chance to gain some insight into the mind of a persuasive madman, to front up to the piercing stare and to make him justify his beliefs! In fact a beer with both him AND Freud would be even more interesting! :D

Chris L 03 September 2004 05:18 PM

Perhaps it was just someone at the BBC being thick and not realising that Hitler was from Austria?

You'd HAVE to turn up with a fake 'tache drawn on, wouldn't you? I wouldn't be able to resist! (No 'resistance is futile' jokes thanks ;) )

Oh, I thought Mr H was Jorg Haidar.

I'll get my coat...
