Uprated Wheel Bearings Source?

No luck on Google or posting in 'Wheels' section and I need new stronger bearings asap for the STi V.

Cheers

don't know if they are the same but the design has changed for the rear wheel bearings on imprezas/foresters they now use taper roller bearings not the ball type anymore

Some one asked me if i could get uprated bearings a few months ago could not find anyone who done them, you could try prodrive.

cheers Paul

Even prodrive don't use uprated bearings for the WRC car; they use standard ones......I think you'd be hard pushed to find an uprated bearing for these......But if you do a group buy may be in order ;)

We have never had wheel bearing problems with Imprezas. In the distant past when we ran Clios in the Clio Cup we used to machine the hub carrier to take a bearing(Laguna if I remember right) with a larger outside diameter and the same inside diameter.

Companies like BRT in Wisbech should be able to identify a bearing that is suitable.

Job

Thanks guys but they all want bearing numbers and laugh out loud when I say they are £70.50 EACH from Subaru :(

Anyone have a bearing No for a 1999 Sti V. Pretty please!

I'd rather have them to hand when starting the job as I know what will happen at the bearing stockists on a Sat morning otherwise - sod's law an' all that!

Above was for rears. I now have the number for front bearings if anyone needs it.
