how to clean greyish residue from dashboard top?

For some reason about 4 months ago I noticed that the top of my dashboard has become discoloured by what looks like a greyish residue of some sort. I've tried everything to get rid of it but it does not want to shift. The only thing that seems to have any effect is if I scrape it off with my nails (slow and painful). I think it may have been caused by a cockpit clearer I used earlier in the year, but it hasn't effected the other parts it was used on (doors, centre consol), even though the door bits are the same material.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can use to clean it???

oops sorry. I think this should have gone into "Interior"...

I had the same problem after using a cleaner.
I am afraid the only thing that worked was soapy water, a nail brush and loads of elbow grease.

Right the reason is that you have used a product with silicon in it and this is what i causing your problem

I do have a product that may work but i will not take responsability if it does damage i can then give you a product that is NOT silicone based but does leave a nice sheen or not as it is water based so u can make it as shiny as you like

If you need any of these products let me know
