Chrome, what are you realy after?
If you want a pillow ball top mount with hude (and independant) adjustment of camber and caster then look no further than www.mrtrally.com.au I have had a set of these on my hill climber for 2 years and I'm realy chuffed with them. They wern't expensive either, got mine from TEG sport, but they don't do them now. Can send you a pic of them if you with or you can have a look at them when I come for my headers! 911 :norty: |
was looking at these as an alternative:
http://www.mrtrally.com.au/shop/ "STR TOPS F ADJ ROAD (Pr) 93-ONWRX FRONT These strut tops (pair) allow for more positive castor and camber to be set with the front suspension - improves steering response and turn in drastically. This part comes with a bush to reduce noise vehicle harshness (NVH) and is not suitable for dedicated motorsport applications (race & rally). All Impreza models (93-ON), including WRX & STi. Will increase ride height by approx 10-15mm. For fast road use. Suitable for road use. NOTE: May also fit other models, please refer MRT P. Code: muss128r Price: AU$290.40 (Australian Dollars) Looking to have greater control of camber and castor, so I can maybe lose my Anti Lift kit.. |
Those are the ones I have. They have survived 6000 road miles (in the Midlands!) and 2 seasons of hill climbing.
I use AVO coil-overs so adjusted for hieght with the springs. Spring rates are 320/300 Fr /Rr (pounds). They adjust easy when the car is on the alignment jig. Adjusting in a carpark, race track etc not so good as you can alter caster as well as camber if you are not careful. Still think they are great. Wish i had removed the ALK though as that kit puts the nylon bushes I have in bind on the front lower wishbones. Job for Xmas. (and a realignment for slicks.....) 911 :norty: |
