Blown fuse??
I have recently had a remote start alarm system fitted in my car and yesterday on my way home the headunit stopped working then the clock on the dash stopped and the trip distance counter reset itself.
I have also noticed the interior light has gone too and the cntral locking doesnt seem to want to work. I have checked the fuse i believe to be the correct one number 9 which is the interior electronics but its fine, the heather and rear window heaters work and the dash board lights work. I am at a loss to what has gone wrong? could it be the alarm is duff? or is there mose fuses i could check to locate the problem, has anyone got any idea why fuse number one is protected from being removed i didnt want to check it incase i caused another fault but could this be the missing link?? Its a 98 sport impreza pre-facelift but its the most annoying fault no music! any electrical boffins who might have an answer for me please reply. Many thanks Aaron aka murphy |

I have a 95 WRX and the interior lights, stereo and central locking stopped working due to a 15 amp fuse blowing in the fuse box under the bonnet. I hope that is where it is on yours!

I have exactly the same - Toad alarm, previous owner took out the stereo and the central locking / interior lights aren't working. Pretty sure they're on the same fuse and by taking the stereo out, one of them has popped. Wont get to look til the weekend.
Anyone know the fuse number? MB |
If you open the fuse box under the bonnet and stand next to the car it is the second fuse in of the line of fuses. On a wiring diagram I have it refers to it as fuse number 25 but I don't think that there is any labelling in the fuse box to say which is fuse 25. It is a 15 amp fuse which is normally blue.

Sorted the other day, ta! - Note to anyone going to buy a fuse they are micro ones rather than standard size.
