What brake disc upgrade for MY03?

I have standard discs with Forodo DS 2500 pads and braded hoses, although I feel uprated front discs will improve braking very much. I'm thinking Tarox G88 £169 a pair, what do you think? Any other suggestions, not too expensive please, thanks!

'Uprated' discs are a waste of money. If youre original discs are not worn or due for replacement then I would never think about changing them except to go for bigger ones.

The improvement in performance from a set of grooves in the disc face arent worth £170.

And either way, I wouldnt go for Tarox. If you want decent discs then go for Brembos, superb quality at a very good price :)

The Tarox G88s are a gimmik, you need 40 thousand grooves like you need a hole in the head. 10 grooves are more than sufficient.

Brembo is the way to go  :)

Thanks Bren, much appreciated!

the Tarox disks tend to be massively aggressive where pads are concerned- I found that they work slightly better than a standard disk, warp easily if you drive enthusiastically, and the daft amount of grooves work like a cheese grater on the pads.

my first track day was at Rockingham a few years ago, the tarox I had fitted killed a set of DS2500s in less than a day! I would avoid if I were you as advised above.

Just bought some EBC turbo grooved discs from http://www.camsport.co.uk/. Andrew the boss there should sort you out for £120 plus vat for a pair. I got a pair of discs and four red stuff ceramic pads for just over £220 including delivery - beat that!! These have got really good feedback from other scooby owners as a good upgrade in performance over the standard discs -although mine haven't been fitted yet so can't confirm personally.
