Induction kit?
Anyone recommend an induction kit for my 98 wagon? Just want to ditch the standard air box and air filter and want something that looks nice and performs well. Thanks

Keep as is, you'll only have issues with the MAF; & at almost £300 pop.....of course its your decision ;)

Blitz SUS is exceptionally good. Very rare to have MAF issues on pre99 models.
Blitz gives good power, good noise and is easy to clean an maintain. It's full stainless steel mesh, so is easy to wash. Had one on my car for 3 years, now running 380 odd brake with no issues, MAF related or otherwise. |
Rich, has anyone tried retrofitting a <MY99 MAF to a later car?
I had heard of people fitting 200SX ones on there too. MB |
Hi Mark,
Later MAF are 90mm, earlier ones are 80mm (apart form the STis), so it wouldn't be straightforward, and that's before you've even got to the wiring in aspect. Must say I've never come across anyone who has had it done. |
Rich, I was thinking of just the sensor itself rather than the housing, but can't remember what type of fitting the older ones use.
Sod it, LINK / GEMS is far more sensible for resolving the problem :) MB |

Mine felt quicker / more responsive when I took the K&N off :)
Got a green cotton from Xtreme, much better and no V8 Darth Vader style noises. MB |
