Max boost pressure

What is the general max boost pressure a standard internals ( jap WRX wagon ) can run with no major risk of blowing something? All supporting mods for fuel, air, cooling etc. in place. ( not FMIC though, big TMIC ). Ignoring the fuel cut limit too for interest.
Is 20 psi or 22 psi sustainable safely?

Thanks

Hmmm

not sure how to take that, .......

Every engine is different, dude. People have run std internals upto and beyond 1.7Bar........but not all their engines have lasted.

I run 1.4 odd bar on a large TMIC with standard UK internals (all safety devices in place, precautions taken etc.) Car runs Apexi Power FC.

No problems.

never see more than one green on the knocklink.

Much more boost on a top mount would be verging on dangerous, I think, unless you've done some SERIOUS work.

I'd be worried about the transmission before the engine to be honest.
