Defi-Oil warning alert
 

Help please ?
Does the oil pressure warning alert light & buzz need to activate when engine is off and i want radio/cd on or can this be avoided.

Just depends who has Wired them in for you. They obviously have plumbed into the accessory live instead of ignition live and thus when the key is in poisition I its feeding power to the defi's. get it changed to be wired into the ignition live.. its what I have done for people I have fitted it for.

The warning will sound due to there being NO oil pressure when the engine is off.This is how its meant to be wired,it should only go off when the engine is running.I'd be more concerned if it sounded while the engine was running :D

so basically its wired correct, just carnt use radio with engine off.

If you dont want to change the way its wired, but want to listen to radio with engine off, press record and record for 5 seconds whilst engine running. Then when engine is off and buzzer sounds, press play then pause. Buzzer disappears.
