Tesco Value Inkject refill's
Has anyone bought these kits and are the colours ok for photo printing ? Im using a canon s600.

Depends on whether you want to risk breaking your printer or not. The ink in inkjet printers is designed specifically for that printer and so if you use generic refills, you run a real risk of clogging up your print head. I never buy anything but the official cartriges myself - wouldn't touch the refills as I've seen them knacker more than one printer....
|
Thats what I was wondering, as with my printer the print head is on the printer not on the ink cartridge, so it does not get replaced regularly.
Has anyone had first hand experience of these refills ? |
Trouble with OE refills is that it's a hard descision whether to buy 2 new cartridges or a complete new printer for a couple of quid more! :freak3:

the printer cost £160 on special from ebuyer and the refills are £4.95, not quite worth getting a new printer

Thats why i chose a printer that had permemnant print heads and the ink cartridges are essentially just ink tanks.
I used to have a HP and like you say the new cartridges are cost so much your better off getting a new printer than cartrisdges, another thing is to get a printer that has seperate colour tanks. so when the blue runs out you dont have to chuck away the other two colours that havent. |
Had a few bad experiences with compatibles - will be going for genuine epson ones from now on.
AFAIK if you need to get a serviceman out to your printer and they find someone elses cartridges in it - they'll say you've voided the warranty - the serviceman who came out to mine told me that but said he'd turn a blind eye to it, as the problem turned to be me being a total doofus! |
I have a epson printer and have been using compatibles from a company called www.choicestationary.co.uk and they have been ok.. I have been printing pictures and dvd covers and have no probs.. I paid £34.99 for 6 colour and 6 black..
Cheers nick |
i buy 6 colour ink carts for 8.90 at www.inkcycle.co.uk
