Bought my car with a part-worn set of Kumho Ecsta's fitted. Have covered 2500miles in a variety of conditions since then and would say that they're actually ok.

Can't comment on life, but dry grip is very good with progressive break-away at the limit; wet grip is not as good as the best, but is very predictable (I find loon cornering in the wet just produces a pleasing, controllable four-wheel drift :-) !!

Would I fit them again? Maybe - it would depend on the cost of alternatives.

Got a set of Khumo Ecsta 215 40 ZR 17. Only £230. After driving in the rain I knew why they were so cheap.

The REAL Kumho's are the Ecsta V70 series, but not for a flood....
