Internet connection...
 

I know it's just a modem link but it seems so slow this last week. Anyone else noticed? Have even stripped everything off to see if anything clashing but there's nothing! Any ideas?

Which ISP?


Just some things to consider:

Modem lead damaged?
Windows (assuming) AutoUpdate enabled and downloading
AntiVirus updates downloading
Check logs of firewall to monitor any unauthorised apps.
Has system had essential security patches applied.
Clear IE cache


Run Adaware
Run Spybot
Run antivirus scan of complete system
