sti7 standard d/valve on sti8 i/c
 

I'm about to fit an sti8 i/c to my MY00, but I'm currently on the lookout for a d/valve. As I understand it from David at API ( very helpful guy ) the only reason an sti7 d/valve won't fit is because, as you tighten it up on the i/c, it fouls the breather pipes attached to the i/c. Can I do without these breather pipes? Iirc, they just unbolt, and I don't think the MY00 uses them. Anyone else run up against this? Typically, I can get an sti7 d/valve, but not one from an sti8!
