Can i buy a PS2 game in the USA and it work on a UK PS2

As the title really :)

My Dads going to the states tommorrow and he wanted to know if my lad wanted a PS2 game.

I said i didn't know whether a USA PS2 game would work on a UK PS2. He does have an NTSC television if that helps

Your comments would be appreciated

Not unless it's chipped, now illegal in the U.K. :rolleyes:

PS2 games are effectively region coded by Sony just like DVDs.

no u need a PAL compatiable game only available in the U unless the PS2 is chipped :)
