Just been on eBay to be faced with their Top 10 searches

1. BMW
2. Queen
3. Mobile Phones
4. BURBERRY
5. MP3
6. Mini Cooper
7. LAMBRETTA
8. Nokia
9. Golf
10. PS2

think I might do a search for burberry and see what comes up...

Lambretta the clothing, not the scooters.

My wife makes £100 profit a month on EBay wise ease.

Go to a car boot sale, haggle with someone, take some nice pics and sell on EBay. You just have to know what to look for ;)

tiggers 12 August 2004 11:44 AM

Why isn't BMW in bold in that list? ;)

hedgehog 12 August 2004 12:20 PM

It must be said that I have seen a lot of stuff on ebay sell for more than you could get it new. It seems very much to depend on what you are selling but there do seem to be a lot of suckers out there who don't have a clear idea of the value of what they are buying.

In saying this the one item i did buy on ebay i paid full retail price for it, but it was no longer available and ebay was the only place i could find one. Under those circumstances it didn't seem like too bad a deal for me and I suppose lots of people feel the same.

sti-04!! 12 August 2004 12:31 PM

I just got myself somethings off ebay, waiting on them to be delivered but TBH the price i paid compared to the normal retail was a great saving to me!

pugoetru 12 August 2004 12:55 PM

I would not consider Lambretta Chav at all. I don't have loads but I do have a T-shirt.

Irrespective of whether I own one I cannot see that as Chav at all.

What about Firetrap....would you consider that to be Chav??

davyboy 12 August 2004 01:27 PM

Firetrap and Sonetti are the 58p for 83 years catalouge specials !

Stone Island & Henri Loyd are at the top of the chav pile for clothes.

TelBoy 12 August 2004 01:27 PM

When will Von Dutch be considered Chav, or has it descended there already? :)

messiah 12 August 2004 01:32 PM

I think you're safe with Firetrap...

STi wanna Subaru 12 August 2004 01:32 PM

lacoste also

davyboy 12 August 2004 01:33 PM

All designer clothes are chav if the label is on the outside.

Yes, and also

McKenzie, Nicholson, Ben Sherman, Von Dutch, Umbro, Teddy Smith, Henri Lloyd, Kappa, etc.

Non-Chav would include Paul Smith, Diesel, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Aquascutum (although sometimes a little questionable), Stone Island and Armani.

davyboy 12 August 2004 01:35 PM

Non chav includes Stone Island.....yeah right!

Robert Rosario 12 August 2004 01:35 PM

Stone Island is starting to get slightly chav, purely because of E-bay snides, but if you know anybody who has worn it since early nineties, I would think carefully before calling them a Chav!

TelBoy 12 August 2004 01:36 PM

Armani might be non-Chav, but it's definitely not non-tosser, along with Gucci.

davyboy 12 August 2004 01:36 PM

I would call them a football hooligan instead then.

Basically if it's a clothing brand available in JD Sports it's Chav.
