performance gains from remap?

Thinking of getting a remap for my newage jdm wrx got a panel filter and a h&s afterburner system fitted .what sort of performance gains can i expect or is it a case of just smoothing things out? I dont intend to carry out any further engine mods and the motors done 4500k.

Depends on your budget and whether you are are willing to travel a bit to get the best job really.. anything from 10-30 bhp should be possible.. maybe more if you are willing to max out the credit card :-), mine is going to have the final one done on it next week before i change it, and they reckon on an extra 20 BHP.
There is a company currently able to take a sti to 399BHP, but you are talking the price of a new small car (10K), thats a tadge over the top i think.

Get an EcuTek remap, you wont regret it. Not sure of the power gains but the overall driveability of the car will be greatly improved. :)
