.....or, to put it another way, to55ers who park in the 'trade only' part of the B&Q car park, even though they're clearly not trade, 'cos they're in Mercs' and MGFs ffs. B4stards are quick enough to twist on if I have the cheek to park in a 'mothers and children' space at Tescos to avoid these same type of idiots creasing the door on the scoob, quite happy to let me walk half the length of the car park at B&Q when they want to use our spaces though. Four flat tyres and broken windsreens should be excused sometimes!

i asked him where his baby was and hurled a string of non-ordered expletives at him, as you do.
His wife slunk down into her seat at this point.

I think you will find that most of these "special" parking spaces, with the exception of Disabled are not enforcable and are provided as a convenience to the general public. Disabled spaces are however enforceable and many councils are encouraging Tescos etc to ensure that only disabled people use them. I belive there are moves to fine supermarkets etc if they do not enforce the disabled spots.

If it's raining, I always park in parent & child spaces, because they are always along the covered walkway:) I don't see why I should have to walk the full length of a carpark in the p!ssing down rain just to give a shop my business, whilst the baby machines in their wilmslow tractors get preferential treatment:mad: If they owned a normal car, rather than an APC they wouldn't need all that extra space to get the f**king doors open in the first place:p

my friend always parks in disabled spaces and came back to this notice on his window the other week

"You've taken my space, do you want my disability too?"

If they can have special parking for Parent & Child then they should also have special parking for overweight people.

Yeah, and they should have special covered spaces for Westfields too

You've got to admire SN - any thread about any aspect of carparking always tangents to the parent and child debate, started usually by a very single chap :p

The old man was up a while back and we happened to go to Sainsburys - didn't quite persuade him that we could park in the 'Parent and child' spaces .... I mean, just 'cos he's just turned 70 .... :-)

My old man when he was disabled hada moddified car so he didn't need his legs to drive it. He used to carry around a pack of stickers which was like the stuff parking tickets have as an adhesive. He had something witty on it like "thanks for taking my disabled space, would you like my disability as well you ********".
The used to stick them on windows of cars parked in disabled spots where the people in it were clearly not disabled and had no disabled card in the window.
I carry a few calling cards with "thanks for parking so close to my car, next time leave a can opener so I can get in" ever since i got boxed in at Reading by 2 numbnuts who left a rizzler's width at the front and back for me to get out. And one of them when they turned up couldn't understand why I was p'd off (with a poor traffic warden with me as well - he was going to give me a ticket for staying longer than the allotted 2 hours but I explained to him how I was unable to move my vehicle)

I have to say that one time, some complete dickwad parked so close to me that I could barely OPEN the drivers door and had to struggle to get into the passenger side and work my way across.

What REALLY wound me up was that the idiot had parked so far over he was in my parking bay!

I got a 'little' upset at this complete lack of consideration and... errm.... well... opened my drivers door once I was in... really fast...several times....

Hell of a crease in his door afterwards.

Not big, not clever, but I did feel good for a while afterwards.

no one in the trade would buy the cheap ****e from B&Q, would they? Better to get the decent stuff cheap from a decent merchant :D

i hate people who park in parent and child spaces when they clearly don't have one as someone else said you try getting a baby out of a car in a normal space it's bloody difficult that one should be made law as well.

I take the kids to the supermarket in the Cerbera. The doors are long :D

I also find it really annoying when trade vans park in or across the disabled parking slots!

So it's just the trade vans you get the hump with then? Won't mind me parking the Subaru there then? Funny how it's gone from me complaining about people parking in trade slots at B&Q, when they're clearly not trade, to your accusations......f.w.i.w. I park the scoob wherever I see fit to avoid the vast proportion of inconsiderate losers putting a dent in it, leaving me to pick up the bill. It's called cause and effect and I only do it 'cos I know what's likely to happen if I don't. Don't park the van anywhere I " shouldn't " 'cos ultimately I don't really care about what happens to it.
The B&Q thing happens every time I go. And for those of you who are complaining about trying to get their kids in & out of the car in " none-parent " slots, try lugging half the contents of B&Q across the length of the car park in the rain, and then loading it with a car an inch from the rear doors!
Now look what you've made me do.....I did say " rant over " and now I've gone and had another one! :D

So it's OK for you to park your Scoob wherever you like but not for others to do the same ?

I have just realised this summer that actually parking away from the entrance isn't that bad - by the time you have tried to park, got all hot under the collar and had the Scooby dented ....... you could have parked 100 yards away and walked in calm and peace!!

BUT, I DO believe that to**ers in overgrown 4x4s should be made to park at least a mile away!! :D
