How tight should axiliary belts be?

AD02 Belt question?

How does one know how tight the 2 auxiliary belts should be on a classic?
How much of a turn should I be able to turn each belt on the longest part?
1/8?
1/4?
1/2?
I think one of them is too tight and is whine slightly now and then.
