Exhaust sensors on new age cars-What one does what?
 
From what i can see,it appears that there is(in order starting fron headers)Lamda sensor-EGT sensor-then another Lambda.Why is there 2 Lambdas ????????????

As I understand it the 1st one is the input for the closed loop fuelling and the 2nd one keeps a check on your cat.

Thanks-- i see-so the fuelling is worked out from the first one,which i presume if there were any running probs caused by the lambda,it would be the first one to look at first.

I understand that to be correct. And the good news is you can only get one from a dealer and it's ridiculously priced - around £240 + VAT IIRC. :)

Blimey-No real big suprises there -surely there must be one that is made for another manf. that will fit-they all do the same thing dont they,just have different threads,or am i completely wrong on this one?
