Cheapest place for EBC Red stuff ceramic pads

Best price so far is 108 inc vat.

Any one know a cheaper place?

I think the top contender ATM is Camsport or Camskill

Just make sure they get you the new E388 compound and not old stocks of the old and very poor 2/3 compound.

I've just fitted a set of EBC Redstuff Ceramic Pads E388 Compound, Front & Back to MY03 WRX. They were £147 inc. VAT & next day delivery. But if I recall correctly the fronts were about £85 inc. VAT (£97 less 25% + VAT) on their own.

Hope this helps :thumb:

What's the AF88 compound then?

From what I can gather from John Felsteads reports here the AF88 compound is for the Green Stuff. Look at post numbers 314 and 317 by John. The Greens are no longer recommended for Scoobs by EBC.

AF44/78 is greenstuff, as John Felsteads says, my invoice definately says AF88 and it was shipped from EBC directly (so they should know what they are on about!). The description just says 'Redstuff ceramic'.
So far I am not impressed with them from cold and are considering a change already. I'll leave them a while and see if they improve or I get more used to them.

There is no mention of the AF88 code on that page?!

Where did you get them from?

AF88 IS the ceramic compound pad. EBC part numbers will be DPxxxxxC or DPxxxxC. "Ceramic" will be on the product label on the box and on the pad itself. As far as I know there is only one "compound" for the ceramic compound pad.

HTH.

I got mine from JW Racing and specifically asked for the E388 compound. Jamie wasn't aware of a new (or old) compound but asked the question and got me the right ones. I think he has stocks of the old stuff like many other suppliers, but from what I have read it's better to pay a bit more, wait for a special order and get the new stuff. It is quite clearly marked "E388" on both the box and pad, but as yet I haven't fitted them, so I'll let you know how I get on after a couple of weeks use.

I got mine from Camsport, the 4-pots pads were £78.20 inc. VAT and I also bought a pair of 293mm turbo groove disks at £164.50 inc. VAT which was about £60 saving on the next cheapest I found!

The part number sounds about right, I haven't got the invoice in front of me. Can't remember about it saying ceramic on the pads or not, and it was only the weekend before last I fitted them!

thanks for your comments anyway.
