Difference between a VF36 and a VF37
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know the difference between a VF36 and a VF37 in details? Anyone has the specification or Dyno Chart for VF36 and VF37? Or anywebsites that has info on this VF36 and VF37? Thks |
Both are twin scroll turbos, the VF36 is a rollerbearing turbo so less friction=faster spool up, the VF37 is a sleeve bearing turbo, thats the difference.

VF36 has titanium shaft and turbine wheel in addition to being ball bearing. Otherwise they are the same on the compressor side. VF36 spools quicker being lihter.

Hi Bob
I thought you would be asleep ready for TOTB3 tomorrow :D Shaun |
HI Guys,
Thks For VF36 and VF37, which one offer higher Torque and Hp? |
As Bob states, they are the same in compressor size so will produce the same power, you also have to remember that they are twin scroll, Bob will be able to tell you more about the workings of these but i dont think its going to be an easy bolt on job if your thinking of fitting one :(

Was just going .... got up at 03:00 to get there for 07:30/08:00.
The twin scroll turbo doesn need alot of "extras" to be able to fit onto a car that did not have originally. AS std fit the cars that use it have a different sump to allow the use of equal length headers and twin up pie to feed the twin scroll and a new design downpipe as well. They do work well if a decat and induction is fitted, look in Projects at my thread, car made 370 bhp and 374 ft lbs when raw data analysed. So its got "capability". bob |
