stevebt 30 July 2004 08:44 PM

Speedas 30 July 2004 08:47 PM

Any other sudgestions...............

Have a word with BR Developments or TSL as they supply, fit and map them for Scoobs.

Yes they are quite expensive, but very good ecu's. Do a search for more info on specifics.

motec m48pro

yep they are expensive. just bought one for my 95 wrx and the unit and wiring loom, a 3 bar map sensor all came to £2k. have to get someone to fit it now. i has to be the most user definable ecu on the market, does just about everything. no matter what mods you do on the car it should be able to cope.

cheers

Running motec(M48pro) for 3yrs now on my97 .
Bolt ons VF34 ,fmi etc & 12.9@114mph (****ty 60' @2.038) if its an indication how well controls the lot.
All I can say is, Motec has the best reputation here in OZ with Autronic 2nd in line.

Motec is the best for Future Expansion Can give you Antilag and Launch Control The tricky part is who to MAP it
2 other contendors are GEMS and Apexi PowerFC

AndyF is reaching legendary status with his Apexi mapping skills and is from the Edinburgh area Apparently you can get everything you need (Unit,Hand Commander,Boost Control and Map Sensor) from www.greenline.jp for a very reasonable price I think its about £800 all in AndyF i believe is workin on a system where it removes the need for a MAF on the Apexi system

Dastek ,in Dalgety Bay, can map the GEMS on a rolling road They have an Ex Toyota Motorsport engineer who is fully conversant with GEMS Steve Simpson can supply a bare GEMS ecu for circa £1500 Major benefit of GEMS is it does away with MAF

Hope this helps mate and happy modding

Grant

Motec is top notch, used on most high powered cars in the Subaru scene.

Had one on my STI8 and Type R.

Now running GEMS.
