Upgrading ARB, Links & ALK - what else?
Hi,
I am running with standard 16" wheels on my STI v5 and I have ordered Whiteline 22mm front & 24mm back ARB with alloy drop links and an anti-lift kit ... a full geometry setup is planned once this stuff is fitted. Is there anything else recomended? Is it worth splashing out 600 quid + on 17" or 18" wheels to 'enhance' the handling? What difference will a lowered set of springs make (recommendations?) and will these improve significantly on the stock STI springs which are quite stiff as it is. The car does feel 'wallowy' and rolls a fair bit (IMHO) with quick direction changes though which sometimes causes a loss of grip (hopefully the ARBs will go some way sort this out). Cheers Paul |
The alignment must be done by someone who 'knows' Scoobys.
17's will enhance the stability, so will GOOD tyres. Wallowing suspension on an Sti? Strange, maybe tired shocks. 911 |
