shelsley walsh hill climb 14-15 august

Just wondered if anyone else was interested in going to this meet here

We went last year, and the cars that took part were amazing:D....
Anything from ex formula one - vintage bugatti - 27 lt bentley:eek::)

I am going to the rally day at castle coombe on the saturday, so it will have to be the sunday for the hill climb.

Anyone interested:D

Richard Askew 29 July 2004 09:33 PM

I'll be there Sun

911 from here is competing and apparently Grahame Wright Jnr is unleashing his new V10 on the hill

:)

News to me and we have made some bits for it! I will ask tomorrow.

I should be there on Sunday.:)

WRX_Rich 05 August 2004 11:15 PM

shelsley is next to one of the best roads in worcester so It would be a shame to miss it

but last time (month ago may be) the coppers thought it would be fun to stick up loads of spped guns around the area :(

greg.g 05 August 2004 11:45 PM

You always have to be on the look out whenever your going to a motoring event like a hill climb.
To the coppers its like kids in a candy shop:rolleyes:

Still going on sunday though:)

Richard Askew 06 August 2004 08:58 AM

Andy - any update on the V10?

Squizz 06 August 2004 12:58 PM

Hmmm, might go and have a look on the Saturday. I prefer it coz there's less folk and the drivers/crew are usually more inclined to have a chat.

I'm not worried about going to the Rally Action day, really.

However, might be fitting the carbon fibre spoiler to our Nissan...

The wings are still with us and he has not asked us to send them so Dont think he is ready. I think he set this as his target but I think Gurston is more likely at the end of the Month.

Will let you know for Definate though.

Forgot to Add he is in the entry list!

greg.g 09 August 2004 11:43 AM

I must say that i am looking forward to this more than the rally day.

Lets hope the sun is out, or its a wellies day.

Big Screen as Well.

If the weather is good Adam Fleetwood could be the first to do a 23s run up the hill, he is on top form and now he has the Championship under his belt he will be well up for it, He got another record this weekend.

I think RBsimon should be competing as well

Oi!! Less of the "old" - matey!!

So are you going to come tomorrow then, as you never came today?

I hope Greg has managed to sway you into popping along - you know you want to!!:D

Should be a good day.
Adam Fleetwood bettered his previous hill record but it's not official because it was only practice 24.03 seconds - a sub 24 is probably on for tomorrow.
I managed a personal best as well - so a good day all round really!

See you there.

(We're down the bottom end of the paddock alongside the road)

greg.g 14 August 2004 09:55 PM

Thanks simon;)

See you tomorrow:)

Richard Askew 14 August 2004 11:17 PM

Not sure whether tonights kronenbourg will let me make it tomorrow :norty: :D
