Pirelli P7000 any good?
 

I can get these in 215/45/17 for 70+vat fitted.
Are they any good... they are the same price as Toyo F1`s.
I`ve just worn out my Bridgestone RE050`s and liked those, but they work out too expensive to replace.

Has anyone any experience?

I have just had some RE050 s fitted to my car today. they replace Goodyear Eagle F1 which I have been very pleased with, they seem to have lasted forever.

my leasing company insisted on the bridgestones so I dont know whether to be pssed off with them or not.

what is your opinion?

I had P7000's previously and while they are pretty good in the dry, the wet grip left a little to be desired. I've now gone to P Zero Neros which are much better wet and dry.

I quite like the bridgestones, they have stiff sidewalls and sharpen up the car, i have just put on a set of Eagle F1 GSD3 as i wanted better wet grip and resistance to aquaplaning, they are the tyre of choice 4 most people on here and are good but a little softer i dont think i would go for the pirelli 7000 but i guess it depends if you are pushing the car or not. Personally i rate wet weather performance the highest, dry grip is good with all tyres. The avon zz3 are also supposed to be good and they are well priced normally. The main lesson i learned was never to mix tyres - change all 4.

the bridgestones are an excellent tyre, just a bit pricey... over half as much again.
I`m still not sure what to go for next.... the safe option is Toyos...as most of the Scoobys I know run them.
Any more thoughts anyone?

Just found a place that does F1 gds2` s for £89 each fitted inc vat...(215/45/17) so that solves my problem.... These are rated my often and more highly on than any other..

Several people have commented on here that the GS2D's are nowhere near as good as the GS3D's. Do a search before you make an expensive mistake :)

Have no personal experience as still dragging the last remnants of life from my OE RE050's, but will be getting a new set of either GS3D's or ZZ3's pretty soon.

GSD3 at www.blackcircles.co.uk £110 per corner all in inc vat, I have had a couple off these guys with no probs. You will get a list of all the alternatives on this site as well.
