On my travels today

i spied plod on a motorway bridge parked up as i was travelling toward him

he was parked to my right (well over the opposite carrageway & on the overpass above) and placed well back

plod was standing behind car with what looked like the old box brownie in his hands

Im not sure about my speed approx 75 ish (i.m honest)

is this a point and shoot chase and stop cam , or a piccy one..

and what lane would he have been doing??

or im i into the 14 wait & see scenario

Many (probably the vast majority of) speed measuring devices are now fitted with some form of camera and recording equipment and so it is increasingly rare for the motorist to be stopped at the scene. Stopping you takes time and reduces the revenue stream.

At 75mph it is very unlikely that you will be done, though some counties are becoming increasingly keen on doing people for speeds very close to the posted limit.

He could have been applying his attentions to any lane but the fact that he was at an angle to the road works in your favour as it reduces your speed as measured by the laser.

The police have to process your NIP within 14 days, assuming you are the registered keeper of the vehicle, however the law allows a little while for the postal system to deliver the NIP. It is, therefore, possible for the NIP to arrive with you after 15 or maybe 17 days and still be legal.
