Cleaning a Dawes?

What the best way to clean a dawes out?

Got abit of poor accelarating, don't know whats causing it, i'll try this first.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Brakecleaner is best to remove dirt, oil etc deposits... also evaporates quickly without leaving anything behind
