Anybody???

I've booked the car in at ABP near Crewe and been quoted itro £480 without an air filter (I have an STi one winging it's way here from Hong Kong, thanks to a recent group buy :D).

Can anyone suggest an alternative??

Prosport are spot on, totally trustworthy, IIRC full service with cambelt change was around £500 all in.

You can't do better IMO than Prosport, mine is in next week for a little bit of TLC.
