9 hours in Paris next Sunday, what to do?
Over for the day with the GLW, want to do a few touristy things and catch the end of the tour. Lance will cross the line at about 5.30 but apart from that we've a free day.
Any ideas? |
Eiffel Tower. Very impressive if your into engineering.

For my money the Louvre is probably the most impressive thing you'll see in any city. Far too big to take it all in on one visit, or in one day, and it might be a bit busy but it really is worth a visit. On some Sundays it is even free to get in I think.
The Musee d'Orsay is just across the river and is a wonderful place to visit but just isn't on the same scale as the Louvre. I know that's an awful thing to say but if you want a big experience then hit the Louvre unless there is something specific you want to see in the Musee d'Orsay. |
Thanks guys, Louvre sounds like a good idea

Was there about two weeks ago, did the Eiffel tower (impressive), Notre Dam, didn't get chance to do the Louvre but by all accounts its v'good.
Word or warning.. watch out for pick pockets they are everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Ian |
