quick question?

I am buying a standard uk my2000 turbo, how much does it cost to fill it up and how many miles will it last if driven nicely?

Andy,

I filled my MY2000 UK this morning 56.14 litres SUL for 236.8 miles = 19.2 mpg. This was a mix of enjoying the car and then very gentle driving once the fuel light came on at 9 litres left - so as to reach the SUL petrol station. My usual route to work is only 12 miles, 6 miles dual carriageway and 6 miles town.

The best I have ever got in 4 years of ownership is 27.8 mpg (M4, M5 consistant speed) and the worst 17.2 mpg. My usual day to day is 20-22 mpg (220-250 miles range).

No performance modifications.

I have a pretty standard MY2000 UK and generally get about 25-27mpg, mostly round town and a bit of countryside.

I've had 250ish on a long run and about 180ish on stop start driving, not the best but bloody good fun:D

I also get these figures, and can touch 33 on a good long traffic free saunter.

A lot of people must have lead boots or lots of mods as they rarely put these figures up on here, possibly in fear of being called a pussy!

Ive gotten 40mpg out of my last scoob (my00 turbo) it was during the fuel crisis though so was driving very sedately :(

i fill up my 1999 imp turbo (same as 2000) with 51-52 litres of fuel and it goes 200-220 miles. mix of hard and easy driving. lowest ever was 140 miles out of a tank when the MAF sensor was ghoefed.

Yep, it comes on when the needle's almost on zero. Apparently there's about 10 litres left when the light comes on, can't remember where i heard that so may not be gospel.

Yep, mine comes on with about 10 litres left, assuming the quoted full tank of 60 litres is correct!!

The light doesn't come on until the gauge is heading well south of the "E" mark!!!! :D :D
