I have aquired a 2nd hand Clifford Concept 300 Alarm to install into my scoob.

I've managed to sort out all the wiring and all works fine except for the Central locking.

Does the scoob need a separate relay module to do the door locks. The alarm has 2 wires for the locking, I assume 1 is to lock the other unlock, but am unsure how exactly to connect these.

I remember from installing early car alarms that there are several methods depending on the car involved.

Any help would be appreiciated.

P.S do you need cliffnet wizard to change the siren set-up as mine only seems to play the standard tone.

Please help, as everything else works and this problem is buggung me.....

What model year have you got?

The Subaru is a UK Turbo MY94, the Clifford Concept if a 300 but am unsure about how old it is.

The old Gemini Alarm that I ripped out had a Central locking facility (which worked). But I'm unsure if the wiring is the same or if there is an old gemini central locking interface hidden somewhere.

All I currently have is 2 wires from the clifford (lock and unlock), and 2 wires that go to the car locks (previously connected to the Gemini).

If 12V is applied accross the 2 existing wires in the car the doors lock, if the 12v is reveresed i.e what was 12V is now connected Gnd and what was previously connected to Gnd is connected to 12V the doors unlock.

However with the cliiford attached the alarm does not lock/unlock on arming.

DON'T DO ANYTHING WITH THOSE TWO WIRES JUST YET, YOU'LL DAMAGE THE ALARM!!! From your C300 ECU, the grey/green is the lock wire and the grey/orange is the unlock wire. These wires go to 0V for one second when asked to lock or unlock and can only deal with 150mA absolute maximum. Two relays are required to operate the additional motor which has been installed in your driver's door, which is necessary on old Scoobs.
