I have a MY99 UK model that when I opperate the KEY FOB flashes 4 times on lock and once on unlock, $64,000 question is can I reprogramme it ot Chirp 4 times on lock and once on unlock. AS Iam blind with a 240bhp Scooby and need to hear it Lock!!! I jest but am used o Audible warning when locked and find myself very unsure if locked or not.

If I cannnot reprogramme can I frig the wiring to operate the CHIRP the same time to mimic the HAZARDS.?????

Can't remember the code for certain but yes you can get it to chirp.

I think if you look in the programming section of the manual there's a code 6 and code 7 - one is chirps on, the other off.

The alarm is a Sigma M30 - try searching the archives.

If you still need help with this, it is

turn on ignition
press remote key fob button
press 7 on keypad
turn ignition off again

Chirps are now activated - you get 2 chirps on locking and one on unlocking.

Reapeating the same procedure with * instead of 7, toggles between loud/quiet chirps.

Many thanks Ive got it to work o/k. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif I did look in my Subaru alarm book and it only said 6 & 7 were for future use and therefore no help at all. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

Hi Guys

I've just been out and tried BoostII procedure 4 changing my chirps from quite to LOUD http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif

I think I'll stick with LOUD, just 2 P*** OFF the Neighbors http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Thanks BoostII

Boost11,
Tried the quite loud and worked o/k I must admit it will P*ss my neighbours off as well http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif, but probably not as much as my MAGNEX exaust http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Tony,

I didn't realise the noise it makes till I opened the window through the narrow streets of town. I thought every one was looking at a scooby, not because their Ears were hurting.

Are there any other well kept secrets such as the * volume control?

Cheers,

Kenneth (A newbie to the list, but a very happy P1 owner since July 00)

there is also a super lock on the alarm that when activated can only b disarmed by using the 4 digit pin code handy if u leave the car in dodgy places .

PeterPerfect 23 March 2001 11:38 PM

If 7 enables the chirping, does 6 disable it ?

Boost II 24 March 2001 02:16 PM

Spot on for "6", Peter

The other ones I know of are

0 - Allows you enable the alarm even if one of your doors/bonnet/boot cannot be shut.

2 - Disables ultrasonic protection if you want to lock animal/child in the car.

4 - Enables automatic door locking

5 - Disables 4

8 - Displays vehicle battery voltage with LED eg 12 flashes = 12 Volts

9 - switches on "super lock" as described by scoobyboy
