lambda sensor part number

I am trying to get a new lambda sensor but halfords and my local auto shop don't have the right type for my car, and subaru can't find the item unless I give them the code (or my chassis number but it's an import).

So can someone please let me know what thye part number is for a 1994 WRX wagon lambda sensor. I guess it would be the same as all impreza turbos from 1994-1996.

Cheers

if know one knows perhaps someone with a UK turbo MY93-MY96 can PM me their chassis number so I can use it for ordering the part, please.

I finally found a company selling lambda sensors for the 94-96 WRX (Graham Goode) and it is 249 quid!!!!!

Do I really need to spend this much. I could probably get a second hand part from Grade-a or API but then I might get the same problem not long down the line. Any ideas??

Not sure if its the same and by the price I suspect not but I bought a lamda sensor from my local factors for an MY00 Impreza for £45.

cats-direct.com will sensors but whether it fits your car I don't know, sorry.

249 quid what a rip off !! How do they get away with it?? We supply generic lambdas for £88.00 plus VAT, WITH I might add, the wiring diagram for an Impreza.

No, it won't do, the MY 2000 one is different.

Call me if I can help

I ended up forking out for the £250 OE sensor, we'd ( me and my garage ) had tried various generic lambda's but none would generate the proper voltages. It's odd, some car's/sensors seem to work fine, and yet some won't. Without logging the voltages to confirm, I would always be cautious of the generic solutions.

Ironically, the first OE sensor we got from Japan also produced some crazy voltages : so even the proper sensors can play up.

This thread may help - http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=312913

I got my replacement Bosch Lambda from "jgevers" (see above thread) and he was incredibly helpful/knowledgeable.
