Anyone know if these are any good.

Never heard of them so can't comment on quality etc. But be aware: “TV parameters “Receive System PAL B/G D/K” The UK uses PAL I so unless these are modified for use in the UK you would get TV picture but no sound on (analogue terrestrial) transmissions. Note another of their items only tunes up to channel 62, in the UK the UHF TV band goes up to channel 69 so depending on where you were you might not get all available TV stations: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5707563435&ssPageName= MERC_VI I would be inclined to avoid, but that just my opinion unless you can get it in writing that the unit(s) have been modified for use in the UK. I realise that this is my first post here so you may or not believe me but I have twenty years experience of consumer and IT electronics on the technical side. |

Kenwood have just released a decent-sounding double din touchscreen. Around 900 quid tho...

I have bought from him before & had no trouble with him as a trader. (it was a laser pointer though; nothing worth 500 quid!) The item was faulty on arrival, and he replaced it for a new one without quibble. So I would have no doubts about his service; just no idea about the quality of these units. |

Before this goes too far. Nobody has said he is not reputable. But the specifications given for the products suggests they were intended for the Chinese and European markets but not the UK and Ireland. As I said in my post if he confirms these have been modified for the UK market then if that what the buyer wants then the buyer can choose whether or not to buy based on the fact the brand name is unknown here.

should work fine for UK TV channels.. says the UHF range is 450.00 - 863.25MHz, UK TV uses (aprox) 471.2500(ch21) - 847.2500(ch68) for picture and 477.2500(ch21) - 853.2500(ch68) for sound.
