I am thinking about getting a boost gauge for my Turbo MY00. What will it cost me?. Where is the best place to mount it?. Would a Subaru dealer supply and fit it, if not who would?.

Cheers

Rob.

You can get boost guages from Scooby Sport, Scoobymania, BRD, Nitosprt, Ripspeed etc (No order there!)

I believe Scoob dealers can supply and fit the STi guage. Cost circa £200. Looks nice but some find it a little hard to se on the cowling of the steering wheel.

Most people buy after market guages, (cost from £30 upwards)usually HKS or a couple of other makes and mount them into a pod either on or next to the A pillar. Pods very in price from cheap to £100+. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

Fitting is said to be a doddle and if I remember correctly from previous posts the MY00 comes with a third blanked port on the top of the manifold which can be tapped directly.

Hope this helps.

P.

Rob I use a Racetech gauge. Cost me £30 plus a length of vaccuum hose and about an hour to fit. Bought it from DC Cook autospares.

If it was me, I would have been doing no more than 69.9mph...

Honest! Unless of course it was over-boosting? Obviously why I need a gauge!

Try Scoobymania. I bought a guage and pod for the A-pillar from there recently for about £100. The guage is white faced and back lit green as per the standard dials. As its a MY00 then there is a third blanked port on the top of the manifold. You will need some 3mm diameter pipe and silicon gel.

Hope this helps.
